Wenkchemna Pass

Following the same trail as the Larch Valley trail for the first 2.4 km, the path turn to the left, emerging onto open slopes and opening on the Valley of the Ten Peaks on the left. From a steep slope, the trail passes along Eiffel Lake and cross meadows before to start a steady climb of Wenkchemna Pass. On the top, view of the Valley of the Ten Peaks and Eagles Eyre in the Yoho National Park.

Sentinel Pass

Sentinel Pass is one of the most hiked trail in the Lake Louise area. It starts from Moraine Lake with a steady climb of switchbacks in the forest, leading up first to Larch Valley and its spectacular view of the popular ten peaks. You will pass the Minnestimma Lake before starting a steep climb of switchbacks to Sentinel Pass between Pinnacle Mountain and Mount Temple. Rewards: an incredible view of the valley and its ten peaks and on the Paradise Valley.

Fairview Mountain

This is a strenuous hike that will bring you first through the forest and soon to an open area with alpine larch along the trail. The final part is a steep scramble of switchbacks over loose rock to the summit. On the top, view of the Victoria glacier, Mount Temple, Sheol Mountain and Lake Louise.

Paradise Valley Circuit

The Paradise Valley Circuit takes you first to the Giant Steps through the highline trail. On the way, the highlights of the trails are Lake Annette, views of the valley and Horseshoe Meadows. From the Giants Steps, you will return low in the valley through a beautiful corridor of the spectacular Rocky Mountains in the forest and across the Paradise Creek.

Giant Steps (Paradise Valley)

This trail brings you through the Paradise Valley in Lake Louise, the most popular hiking area in Banff National Park. A hike in this valley will bring you through a forest across the Paradise Creek and through a corridor of Rocky Mountains. The ending point, Giant Steps, a series of waterfalls, is a feature of the rock staircase leading to the top of a nice waterfall. This hike is fairly easy and could be recommended for beginners.

Lake Agnes (Little/Big Beehive)

From the shoreline trail, just by the Chateau Lake Louise, this popular trail merges on the right through the forest. Passing the little Mirror Lake at 2.6 km, the path crosses open slopes. On the way to Lake Agnes, you can make a little detour to get the Little Beehive for a nice view on the Lake Louise and the Bow Valley. Once the Lake Agnes and its busy tea house reached, a trail is going south around the lake for a steep climb to the big beehive and his impressive point of view.

Plain of Six Glaciers

From the shoreline trail of the Lake Louise, the hike of the Plain of the Six Glaciers starts his ascension at the other end of the Lake, leading through the forest and avalanche path. After a series of switchbacks leading to a teahouse, the trail goes to an abrupt slope through a narrow steep ridge of moraine. Views of the Victoria Glacier, Mount Lefroy, Lake Louise, The Chateau and the ski hill are some of the highlights of this trail.
