The path hikes up the Vermillion
Pass in a dense forest, filled of lodgepole pine, burn logs
from the 1970 fire, and wildflowers. The path crosses the
Stanley Creek and leads you through a rockbound valley with
an impressive rock wall on the right and small waterfalls
flowing down its face. A steep climb through loose rocks will
bring you to the foot of the glacier and to a nice view down
of the valley.
