Stanley Glacier Trail

The path hikes up the Vermillion Pass in a dense forest, filled of lodgepole pine, burn logs from the 1970 fire, and wildflowers. The path crosses the Stanley Creek and leads you through a rockbound valley with an impressive rock wall on the right and small waterfalls flowing down its face. A steep climb through loose rocks will bring you to the foot of the glacier and to a nice view down of the valley.

Paint Pots Trail

The short trail descends first into the forest, crosses a suspension bridge over the Vermillion River and turn left toward an ochre meadow. A little bit further up sits the Paint Pots, three mineral springs formed by iron oxide deposits. Passed the Paint Pots, the trail keeps going in the forest back to the initial bridge to complete the loop.

Marble Canyon

This 1.4 km circuit is really easy. Two paths hike up smoothly along both side of the canyon with bridges stretching across for different point of view into the impressive depth of the canyon. The trail ends where the waters of Tokumn Creek fail into the canyon.
