Helen Lake

The trail leading to Helen Lake offers amazing and varied sceneries. The first part of this trail climbs in the forest with a nice view on the Crowfoot Glacier. As you take a 180º turn on top of a ridge, you enter in a breathtaking valley of meadows lightly forested, home for innumerable Hoary Marmots. Further, after passing the Helen Creek, the lake is not too far, seat in the middle of meadows with the Cirque Peak in the background

Dolomite Pass

Following the same trail as Helen Lake for the first 6 km, the trail climbs steeply in the rocks to a ridge between the Cirque and Dolomite Peak. This ridge offers spectaculars views on the area: Dolomite & Cirque Peak, Crowfoot Glacier, Bow Valley and Dolomite Pass. From there, it is a descent to the Katherine Lake following by an easy ascent to Dolomite Pass.
